The hype generated by media, people – aam (ordinary) or celebrities from all corners is making the mockery of the Game. Build up for the world cup semi-final between India and Pakistan is being titled as clash of titans, Game of century, super final and what not… and on above of this being visualized as breaking the ice in Indo Pak relationship which were gone worst post 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist attack. If game is enjoyed in true sportsmen sprit then would be victory of cricket, sports and Indo Pak relationship. It would nice to see India excelling in the game and meet SriLanka in final to be played in Mumbai. But what if it is projected as a war, will teams be able to play it as a game of cricket? Media must play a constructive role in development of nation in all field including sports, introspection must be done by all electronic, tv and print media in what they are showing/printing for last 5 days.
My best wishes are with Men in Blue and hope that they will control their emotions, play cool headed and will be victorious in this game of cricket. Good Luck to India.
