Govt Degree College but without staff and infrastructure

The Govt Degree College has been finally opened and started operation from session 2014-15 as promised by CM in his last visit to Sandhole. College was allocated Rs5 crores but its own infrastructure is yet to be build. It has started functioning from the building of Govt Sr Secondary school. Many students has already taken admission but their future still seems to be hanging as college doesn’t have adequate teaching and administrative staff.

Can it be ensured that it doesn’t remain a college in record books but become a premier institute that really benefit the local students and public in large.

One Response to Govt Degree College but without staff and infrastructure

This seems to be one and only college of Himachal Pradesh that have only one teaching staff. The condition is bad than a primary school situated in the remote village. The fate of students who have taken admission in Govt College Sandhole is unknown.

UGC or University should come up with some guidelines and state govt must adhere to those. Are Local MLA or representative of other elected bodies like Gram Panchyat, Block Smiti listening to problem of their people? Can anyone speak out what step they have taken to smooth functioning of this college?
